Hybrid lease or CMI

A Hybrid lease or CMI (Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) represents a hybridized leasing model, combining elements of both dry and wet leases. This leasing solution is particularly advantageous for airlines possessing aircraft capacity but requiring external support for the operational segment of their activities. This necessity may arise from factors such as a shortage of flight crew, the pursuit of cost-effective personnel management, or instances like strike actions.

Within the CMI framework, the client's aircraft is dry leased to an operator. Subsequently, the operator wet leases it back to the client, inclusive of crew, maintenance, and insurance. Importantly, throughout the operational phase, the aircraft continues to fly under the lessee's (client's) call sign.

QH Capital Aviation´s innovative approach empowers operators to recognize the potential utilization of their aircraft and surplus crews through this distinctive lease type.
